Under Ricky’s visionary leadership, City Security Services has become a household name to many of its clients, offering a comprehensive suite of services tailored to meet the evolving needs of businesses and communities across Houston, TX.
Ricky’s journey into the world of security began after working with a top consulting firm out of Chicago with a heavy focus on improving the efficiencies of physical security businesses. His career path is marked having been working with 175 different companies spanning from USA and Canada. With the knowledge he gained in security consulting, he started City Security Services.
Known for his passion for building startups and having a deep understanding of technology, he used cutting-edge security technologies and methodologies combined with his passion for sales and messaging to lift the company to one of the top security companies in Houston TX.
Ricky’s innovative contributions to City Security Services have not gone unnoticed. He has been the recipient of ‘Best Security Company’ in Houston TX for 2022 and a Safety Award Recognition in 2023. His leadership and focus today is sales & finance and is a contributing force in bringing in new clients into the company.
Ricky’s leadership philosophy is rooted in transparency, integrity, and empowerment. He believes in fostering a culture of trust and accountability, where every team member is encouraged to innovate and excel. Darnell Sanders – Human Resources Manager

Darnell A. Sanders, Sr. serves as Training & Compliance Manager at City Security Services, bringing 25+ years of leadership in private security. His expertise spans operations, loss prevention, investigations, regulatory compliance, HR, and risk management. A Lone Star College System graduate and current member of its Business Administration Advisory Committee, Darnell is deeply committed to professional development within the industry.
Having started his career as a security officer, Darnell believes strongly in officer advocacy, often stating, “Front-line security personnel are the lifeblood of any security firm—they are also our customers.” His leadership approach prioritizes officer development, retention, and operational excellence.
Darnell’s career highlights include becoming the youngest director of security for an international oil & gas company, recovering significant financial losses for national retailers, and designing the Special Response Officer (SRO) program that reduced overtime costs to under 1.5%. His diverse background makes him a highly adaptable leader capable of strengthening both field operations and administrative functions.
At City Security Services, Darnell oversees officer training, licensing, compliance audits, and real-time incident response. His leadership ensures all officers receive comprehensive, ongoing education that meets evolving industry standards, supporting the company’s core mission: Educate. Train. Certify. Repeat.
